Riley Hayes created a multi-tiered college encouragement campaign
that broke in April 2007, telling young teenagers “don’t
just doodle—make it happen”. The campaign included
a collaboration with MAKE animation on a TV spot, trans stop
posters, school notebooks and a website filled with resources
and links. Absolute Music and the Minneapolis band Catchpenny
provided the soundtrack.

Riley Hayes and Orange Filmworks recently collaborated to
film a public service announcement featuring the Ronald McDonald
House Pop Tab Collection Program. A dozen kids, a
few thousand pop tabs and 20 local scenes all came together
one day in June for the filming of the 30-second spot. The
spot encourages kids to collect pop tabs in support of the
Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House provides
homes to families of critically ill children during their
child’s
hospital stay. The PSA is slated for completion in August.

They’re at the center of a new campaign that promotes
the economic benefits of McDonald’s restaurants and
the Ronald McDonald House to local legislatures in Minnesota,
Wisconsin, Iowa, plus North and South Dakota. The posters,
ads and tray liners feature Ronald’s red shoes in a
classroom, barn and hospital setting. The campaign may soon
go nationwide.
